Selino Taxi

Common destinations we serve

Chania airport to Sougia or Paleochora (or vice versa)

Taxi

Most people visiting the West of Crete will arrive at Chania airport. It is located on the peninsula of Akrotiri and the drive time from the airport to Sougia or Paleochora is about 90 minutes on a road which is quite good but has many curves.
We can arrange airport pickups where Giorgos will wait for you in the arrival area of the airport. If he cannot do it himself he will make sure that another taxi driver can be there. If you wish to arrange this we will need all your flight details.

Chania city to Sougia or Paleochora (or vice versa)

Drive time is around 80 to 90 minutes.

Heraklion airport to Sougia or Paleochora (or vice versa)

Heraklion airport is located 140 km to the East of Chania so that the drive time to the South-West of the island is about 3 hours.

Paleochora to Sougia (or vice versa)

The two villages are only 12 km apart in a straight line but the road that joins the two villages passes inland, winding its way up and down the hills and the drive takes a minimum of 50 minutes. There is a (quicker and cheaper) ferry connection between the two villages but it only runs once a day when the sea conditions are good.

Sougia to Omalos

The trip from Sougia to Omalos and the entrance of the gorge of Samaria takes about 50 minutes. People staying in Sougia and wishing to walk through the gorge of Samaria will often take a taxi to Omalos in the morning (unless there is a public bus but this is not always the case) and return to Sougia from Agia Roumeli in the evening with the ferry boat. Others who leave their car at the entrance of the gorge of Samaria will return to Sougia from Agia Roumeli by ferry boat and will then jump in a taxi to go back to Omalos. It is essential that you reserve this in advance as there are only two taxis in Sougia.

Sougia to Agia Irini (or vice versa)

The trip from Sougia to Agia Irini and the entrance of the gorge of Agia Irini takes around 35 minutes. Useful if you want to descend the gorge on foot or need picking up once you reach the top.

and of course, anything else that you would like, just ask.
